Q: The reunion fees are
higher this year, why and what do they cover?
A: Because we only have a reunion every 2
years, the fees have gone up due to normal cost of living increases. Another
day was added to the reunion and the quality activities are more
expensive. Each family activity is
covered and the costs of meals are included.
The Ville Platte trip fee includes chartered bus, breakfast, lunch and
snacks during the outing.
Q: What is the
significance of the trip to Ville Platte?
A: Those who have been there, say that there’s
not much to see. Our goal is to create
a historical landmark, so in the future there will be something to see! Ville Platte is the birthplace of our
patriarch John Alfred Sr. We will be planting a tree in his honor and creating
a “time capsule” for our descendants.
This will become a point of connection for our children’s, children. 100
years from now, they will benefit from our efforts and always have a tangible
reminder of their remarkable heritage.
Q: Are friends welcome
to attend our reunion?
A: Absolutely!
As a matter of fact, we encourage it!
We are very proud of our accomplishments. We pray that others will be
moved to start their own family gatherings.
Q: I have a large family,
how can we afford to come to the reunion?
A: Make the reunion, your family vacation. Use the safe and easy Paypal system to make payments on your registration fees. You have about year to save and won’t have to worry about feeling financially overburdened in July 2009.
